Cook Alan Reid RSMA PS 1920-1974
Marine and Landscape painter in oil, pastel and watercolour. Cook attended Canterbury School of Art on completion of his studies he taught art at the Ralph Gardiner School, Tynemouth. He exhibited widely through out the North East and give a one man exhibiton at Mawson Swan and Morgan in 1967. He exhibited all his life at the Royal Society of Marine Artists becoming a member in 1973. In the same year he was also elected amember of the Pastel Society. He is represented at the Natioanal Maritime Museum and the Shipley Art Gallery.
