Campbell William Wright 1913-1992

Campbell was the only painter thought worthy enough by George Houston, of being taken on as his protégé. Campbell also regularly worked with Charles Oppenheimer. The influence of both Houston and Oppenheimer is evident in Campbell's work but he developed his own impressionist technique with dynamic loose brushstrokes and soft colour tones.
