Edwina or Georgina Lara (fl. 1862 - 1871). Painter of farmyard scenes. There is nothing known about her life. Her works are sometimes attributed to William Shayer, who painted similar subjects. Her work is quite distinctive as it often contains large numbers of small, doll like figures. For a short period she was thought to be called George Lara. Edwina Lara is thought to be the same person. She also painted seascapes often featuring harbours.
