Altermann Horst 1925-1978
Born in Dussldorf, Germany Altermann first studied ecclesiastical art at the Academy of his home town. He soon found this field limiting and began to paint landscapes especially summer woodland scenes where he showed real mastership. He soon began to add sporting character to his paintings which added a touch of life. He is known for his depiction of hunting in woodland settings. His works are to be found in many important galleries through out Germany.
