A painter of marines, landscapes, military scenes, townscapes and portraits. Born in Berwick. Wood studies at the Academic Julien and in London. Taught at Newcastle school of art and the Norwich school of art. He exhibited at the Royal Academy and was a well-known artist in the Berwickshire and Northumberland areas.
