Reaveley Fredrick William 1870-1950

An Amateur painter in oils and waterclour who painted coastal, landscape, genre and flower pictures. Reaveley was born in Tynemouth and was a tailor by trade. He exhibited his works mainly at the Artists of Northern Counties Exhibitons at the Laing Gallery. Exhibiting there for 40 years from 1908. He was a founder member of the North East Coast Arts Club at Whitley Bay. Reaveley maintained a studio at Whitley Bay and was a close friend of John Falconer Slater.
