Rousse Frank (fl. 1897 1917)

Frank Rousse painted in both oil and watercolour, landscapes and coastal views. He lived at Ilford, Essex in 1897, and Hadley, Hertfordshire in 1915.Many of his works were scenes in Yorkshire and he exhibited between 1897 and 1917, three times in the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours, and twice at the Royal Academy. He was a popular artist and sold many works in his own locality.

The free and competent manner in which he paints makes his pictures easy to live with, and he is an artist worthy of further research.
