Lara - Edwina Lara or Georgina Lara (fl. 1862 - 1871)

Edwina, George or Georgina Lara (fl. 1862 - 1871).
Georgina Lara also known as George or Edwina was a London painter of rustic farmyard, village and coastal scenes. Her work also closely resembles that of Edward Masters who also went by the name of Thomas Masters and William Masters. They are believed by many to be one in the same.

Lara exhibited a number of works at the British Institution and Suffolk Street galleries. Her paintings are full of charm, often containing groups of small figures and detailed buildings. Her seascapes generally are of coastal locations rather than marine subjects.
