Maurice Wilks - Maurice Canning Wilks (1910 - 1984). Landscape and Portrait painter born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, who began night classes at Belfast School of Art, won a scholarship to study full time and had early success ay the RHA. Exhibted at Galleries in Dublin and Belfast and widely throughout North America. Exhibits can be seen at the Ulster Museum, Armagh County Museum and Bangor Town Hall. the Oriel Gallery in Dublin held a memorial retropspective in 1984.
