George Turner (1843 - 1910). Landscape painter. He was born in Cromford, Derbyshire. He worked in Birmingham, Barrow on Trent and Idringehay, Derbyshire. His panoramic, lush landscapes are now very popular in salerooms. He has exhibited at the Royal Society of Artists - Birmingham (45), Nottingham Museum and Art Gallery (45) and the Royal Society of British Artists (3).
