John Glass - John Hamilton Glass (1820 - 1885). Scottish painter of portraits, landscapes and horses. He was elected as a member of the Royal Scottish Academy in 1849 and he exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1847 and 1859. He then went on to emigrate to Australia where he gave up painting.
