Ernest Hill - Ernest Edward Hill (c.1860 - c.1945). Landscape and coastal painter in oil and watercolour. This artist was born on Tyneside and practised for many years at Gateshead, painting mainly Northumbrian landscapes and coastal scenes. He exhibited his work at the Gateshead Fine Art & Industrial Exhibition in 1883. Also at The Shipley Art Gallery Gateshead.
